Geriatrician - Boise & Eagle, ID

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, offering an exceptional opportunity for a Geriatrician to become part of a distinctive, multidisciplinary team-based clinic. This team supports our Memory Center and Geriatrics Consult Clinic, consisting of Geriatricians, Neurologists, Geriatric Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and a Chaplain. We operate clinics in Boise, Nampa (just 20 minutes from Boise), and Eagle (15 minutes from Boise). Interested physicians may have the flexibility to work from any of these locations, engage in inpatient care with our G60 program, and participate in teaching as an attending for Geriatric fellows, residents, and medical students during their geriatric rotations.

We are looking for candidates who: are passionate and knowledgeable about health issues affecting older adults, and who seek to provide geriatric consultation within an organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit. This is a full-time position with a traditional weekday schedule, featuring a 4-day work week focused on direct patient care, along with 1 day allocated for administrative duties, ensuring a minimum of 34 hours of patient interaction each week.

• Provide comprehensive care to older adults in a team-based environment.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring of medical trainees.
• Participate in administrative tasks and contribute to clinic operations.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Expertise in Geriatrics, demonstrated by one of the following:
  • Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or
  • CAQ in Geriatric Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or
  • Certification in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), or
  • Ability to obtain such certification within 3 years of employment, or
  • A minimum of ten years of practice experience focused primarily on the care of older patients.
• Possession of an Idaho medical license, registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy, and DEA registration for controlled substances, along with privileges at the local regional medical center.
