Quick Facts Location: 1086 Franklin Street, Johnstown, PA 15905 Start Date: 07/01/2026 Duration: Ongoing with coverage approximately one week per month Shift: Inpatient NICU rounds / On-call 24/7 for high-risk deliveries (8AM-4PM outpatient clinic Thursdays) Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week (including on-call) Employment Type: Contract/Locum Licensure/Certs: Pediatric and Neonatal Certification required Experience: Prior Neonatology experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $1.00/hour Pay Schedule: Weekly via direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support throughout assignment What You’ll Do Provide neonatal intensive care in a Level I Trauma NICU with 16 beds (expandable to 20) Attend all high-risk deliveries and manage NICU admissions (average 20/month) Perform daily rounds on inpatients and participate in outpatient clinic on Thursdays Respond promptly (within 20 minutes) to on-call needs using provided communication tools Collaborate with in-house mid-level providers and hospital staff to ensure quality patient care Support high-risk obstetric cases and NICU patients in an inpatient setting What You Need Required: Medical license in Pennsylvania Pediatric and Neonatal certification At least 2 years of Neonatology experience Ability to respond quickly to calls and manage high-acuity patients Preferred: Experience in Level III NICU environments Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital setting About the Assignment This role is based in a busy hospital's NICU, where you'll be integral in delivering high-quality care to high-risk preemies and newborns. The NICU operates 24/7 with dedicated staff, ensuring continuous support and excellent patient outcomes. Outpatient clinic participation is expected, with scheduled rounds and high-risk delivery attendance. The facility employs Epic EMR system for documentation and coordination.
