Faculty Physician - Family Medicine with Obstetrics Fellowship Training

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Faculty Physician who has completed a Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship (or possesses equivalent experience) to become part of our academic team. This is an exceptional chance to take on a key role in establishing our new Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship Program, aimed at enhancing maternal healthcare in underserved rural areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a core faculty member within our Family Medicine Residency Program, concentrating on educating residents and fellows in obstetrical care.
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical care, including surgical obstetrics, in partnership with OB/GYN specialists and family physicians. Our women’s health team currently consists of two OB/GYNs and a Family Medicine physician trained in obstetrics. The hospital has a laborist program that reduces night and weekend on-call duties.
- Guide and oversee residents and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Lead and assist in outreach initiatives aimed at underserved rural women in nearby counties, enhancing access to quality maternal care.
- Participate in the development of the curriculum and the expansion of the new OB Fellowship.
- Promote a pro-woman, pro-child approach in all clinical and educational activities.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine.
- Completion of a Surgical OB Fellowship or equivalent experience in managing high-risk obstetrics and performing cesarean deliveries.
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching and mentoring resident physicians.
- Strong dedication to serving underserved rural women and children.
- Team-oriented with exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
