Job Description
A fantastic opportunity awaits a dedicated occupational therapist for the 2026/2027 school year in a supportive educational environment near Litchfield Park, AZ. This full-time, contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives, working within either a preschool setting or a K-8 developmental program. With a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students and the advantage of an experienced COTA to supervise, you’ll have the support needed to focus on individualized intervention and growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Experience in supervising or mentoring a COTA is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic services to a caseload of approximately 60 students, ensuring OT goals are addressed in IEPs
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) from August 3, 2027, serving students in either preschool or K-8 developmental programming
- Supervise and support a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Conduct assessments and evaluate student needs, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Document all services and interventions in compliance with school and state requirements
