Pharmacist in Gonzales, LA

A specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services in an onsite production role. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, based in Gonzales, LA, with the work location specifically in Baton Rouge. The initial commitment is for a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension or transition to direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medication dispensing and review processes within a specialty pharmacy MTM environment
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication regimens
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to quality assurance standards

Qualifications:

• Active pharmacy license in Louisiana is required
• Additionally licensed or eligible for licensure by reciprocity in at least one of the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wyoming
• Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong understanding of medication therapy management and specialty pharmacy operations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Onsite work; remote work is not available
