A specialized opportunity is available for a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist at a dedicated compounding pharmacy facility focused on personalized pharmaceutical preparations. This contract-to-hire position offers a 13-week assignment with potential for permanent placement. The role is based in Kennett Square, PA, supporting a facility known for bespoke pharmaceutical compounds tailored to meet individual patient needs.
This position emphasizes oversight and verification rather than hands-on compounding but requires a solid background in non-sterile compounding pharmacy practices. The pharmacist will ensure compliance with stringent quality and safety standards, verifying technician work and maintaining adherence to all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy and compliance of non-sterile compounded preparations in accordance with master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to established standard operating procedures and policies.
- Oversee garbing and cleaning protocols to maintain a safe compounding environment.
- Perform necessary calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
- Operate and monitor production and computerized equipment to uphold quality standards.
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify compound accuracy, purity, and potency.
- Maintain updated knowledge on compounding technologies, techniques, and regulations through continuous professional development.
- Prepare and maintain clean and organized work areas prior to production.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Recent pharmacy experience with direct knowledge of non-sterile compounding practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, SOPs, and quality assurance within compounding pharmacy contexts.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
