Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current state Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Demonstrated fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Genuine passion for working with diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans addressing each child’s unique needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions in English and Spanish
• Participate in IEP meetings, document progress, and provide recommendations for ongoing services
• Offer support and resources to families to enhance at-home communication strategies
