OverviewOur client, a specialist contractor delivering major piling, geotechnical, and foundation works across the UK's largest infrastructure programmes, is seeking an experienced Drilling Operator to support the safe and efficient delivery of works on site.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the safe operation of drilling equipment, ensuring works are completed efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and Health & Safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate drilling rigs and associated specialist foundation equipmentDeliver piling, borehole, and geotechnical drilling activities in accordance with project requirementsMonitor drilling parameters, ground conditions, and operational performanceAssist with rig setup, mobilisation, and maintenance activitiesCoordinate daily works with engineers, supervisors, and site teamsSupport reinforcement installation and concrete placement activities where requiredReport operational issues and assist with troubleshooting activitiesComplete daily operational and production recordsEnsure all drilling activities are carried out in accordance with project quality, environmental, and Health & Safety standardsConduct daily plant inspections and report equipment defectsMaintain safe working practices around plant, lifting operations, and excavation activitiesExperienceProven experience operating drilling rigs within piling, geotechnical, or specialist foundation worksExperience working on major infrastructure, civil engineering, or heavy construction projectsKnowledge of piling, deep foundations, and ground investigation techniques is advantageousPrevious experience within live construction environmentsStrong understanding of drilling operations and associated plantKnowledge of piling and geotechnical construction methodologiesAbility to identify and respond to changing ground conditionsGood understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirementsQualifications & CertificationsCPCS / NPORS Drilling Rig Operator certification or equivalent (Essential)CSCS Card (Preferred)SalarySalary starting from £250 per day (Negotiable)If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply here or send your CV toOur clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
