The Accounts Manager will play a key role in overseeing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, and managing financial operations effectively. This permanent role in Yelling, Cambridgeshire, requires expertise in payroll systems and a strong grasp of accounting principles.

\nDescription

- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 200 employees. \n
- Produce payslips, process payroll changes and resolve payroll queries. \n
- Oversee invoicing across local authorities, healthcare bodies, residents and family contributions. \n
- Maintain financial records, reconciliations and ledger postings within Sage. \n
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and banking reports. \n
- Liaise with external accountants and support year-end processes. \n
- Manage purchasing and supply requests from operational sites. \n
- Act as the primary finance contact for managers, employees and external stakeholders. \n
- Provide financial reporting, administration and support across the wider business. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies. \n
Profile
\nA successful Accounts Manager should have:
\n- \n
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience, including manual payroll calculations. \n
- A strong understanding of PAYE and payroll legislation. \n
- Experience using Sage ERP systems, ideally Sage 250. \n
- Previous experience in an Accounts Manager, Finance Manager, or transactional role. \n
- A solid understanding of accounting and finance operations. \n
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. \n
