Pay: £125 per hour

About the Role

\n

We are seeking experienced Consultant Oncologists to provide locum cover within a busy NHS Oncology service in Northampton.

\n

We welcome applications from Consultants with expertise in one or more of the following tumour sites:

  • \n

    Urology (Medical Oncology)

  • \n
  • \n

    Lung (Medical Oncology)

  • \n
  • \n

    Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology)

  • \n
  • \n

    Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) – Medical Oncology

  • \n
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Deliver specialist oncology clinics and patient consultations

  • \n
  • \n

    Diagnose, assess and manage patients with complex oncological conditions

  • \n
  • \n

    Develop and oversee personalised treatment plans

  • \n
  • \n

    Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) where appropriate

  • \n
  • \n

    Maintain accurate clinical documentation

  • \n
  • \n

    Work collaboratively with the wider oncology and acute hospital teams

  • \n
  • \n

    Deliver high standards of safe, patient-centred care

  • \n
\n

What We're Looking ForEssential

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise

  • \n
  • \n

    Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Medical or Clinical Oncology

  • \n
  • \n

    Previous NHS Consultant Oncology experience

  • \n
  • \n

    Expertise in one or more of the following:

    \n
      \n
    • \n

      Urology (Medical Oncology)

    • \n
    • \n

      Lung (Medical Oncology)

    • \n
    • \n

      Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology)

    • \n
    • \n

      Cancer of Unknown Primary (Medical Oncology)

    • \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills

  • \n
  • \n

    Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Experience participating in specialist MDTs

  • \n
  • \n

    Teaching, audit or quality improvement experience

  • \n
  • \n

    Availability for ongoing locum work

  • \n
\n
