PLATERS An excellent opportunity for skilled Platers to join a specialist engineering consultancy on a major industrial project in Scotland. Our client provides mechanical engineering, steelwork installation and industrial construction services to a range of highly regulated sectors across the UK. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking additional Platers to support a key installation project, with opportunities for ongoing work upon successful completion. - Travel and Lodge allowances in line with the applicable industry agreement. \n
- \n
- Install structural steel support systems in accordance with engineering drawings. \n
- Read and interpret General Arrangement (GA) drawings. \n
- Set out and install work to specified tolerances. \n
- Work effectively as part of a site-based installation team. \n
- Adhere to all site health, safety and quality procedures. \n
- Complete work to a high standard within agreed project timescales. \n
- \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Plating or equivalent. \n
- Valid CCNSG, CSCS or recognised equivalent safety passport. \n
- Proven experience working from General Arrangement (GA) drawings. \n
- Experience setting out and installing steelwork to tight tolerances. \n
- \n
- Experience using surveying equipment, including dumpy levels. \n
- \n
- Minimum 100 hours worked over an 11-day rotation. \n
- Additional overtime available, with the opportunity to work in excess of 108 hours over the same period. \n
