Technical Assistant Manager Skipton, North Yorkshire£35,000 + BenefitsMonday to Friday | 35 Hours per Week | Flexible Start & Finish TimesAre you an experienced food manufacturing professional looking to develop your career within Technical and Quality?Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturing business seeking a Technical Assistant Manager to support the Technical Manager in delivering the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance across their production operation.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that values continuous improvement, teamwork and employee development, offering a great work-life balance with flexible working hours.The Role Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in supporting quality assurance, laboratory testing, hygiene standards and compliance activities, whilst also providing day-to-day supervision of the processing team.This is a varied, hands-on role that combines technical responsibilities with people management within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of food safety, quality and compliance standards.Coordinate laboratory testing, environmental monitoring and shelf-life testing.Maintain laboratory records and manage sample submissions.Support hygiene standards, chemical control and cleaning processes.Assist with equipment validation, calibration and maintenance records.Support internal, customer and external audits.Maintain technical documentation and controlled systems.Work closely with production teams to drive product quality and continuous improvement.Supervise the processing team, including rota planning, performance management and training.Monitor absence, holidays and day-to-day team performance.Promote a positive food safety culture across the site.The Ideal Candidate We are keen to speak with candidates who have:Previous experience within a food manufacturing technical, quality or QA role.Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and quality systems.Experience supporting audits and maintaining technical documentation.Strong organisational and communication skills.Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or the desire to progress into a leadership role.A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.The ability to work collaboratively across Technical and Production teams.What's on Offer Salary of £35,000Monday to Friday working35-hour working wee kFlexible start and finish timesCompany benefits packageExcellent training and development opportunitiesA supportive and friendly working environmentGenuine opportunity to develop your career within a growing food manufacturing businessIf you're looking for a role where you can develop your technical expertise whilst taking on greater responsibility within a successful food manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
