Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Interim Fire Safety Surveyor (Tier 2) to support the delivery of fire safety compliance across a diverse property portfolio. You will be responsible for undertaking and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) , identifying fire safety risks, providing technical advice, and ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and industry standards.This role is ideal for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor with experience across residential, commercial, or public sector properties .Key Responsibilities: Conduct and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current legislation and recognised standards.Identify fire safety risks and recommend practical remedial actions.Carry out fire safety inspections and compliance audits across residential and commercial properties.Monitor and verify completion of fire safety remedial works.Produce accurate fire safety reports and maintain compliance records.Provide technical advice to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Support regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with statutory fire safety requirements.Contribute to the continuous improvement of fire safety management systems.Essential Requirements Proven experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) .Recognised Level 3 or Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent).Strong knowledge of: Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005Fire Safety Act 2021Building Safety Act 2022Relevant British Standards (including BS 9999)Experience producing detailed FRA reports and prioritising fire safety risks.Experience inspecting residential, commercial, or public sector buildings.Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Full UK Driving Licence (where travel between sites is required).Desirable Skills Membership of IFE , IFSM , or another recognised professional body.Experience within local authorities, housing associations, NHS, education, or public sector organisations.Knowledge of passive fire protection and compartmentation surveys.Experience managing fire safety remedial programmes.Familiarity with CAFM and compliance management systems.Project management experience within fire safety or building compliance.Experience mentoring junior surveyors or reviewing Tier 1 assessments.What We're Looking For Strong technical knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice.Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.Professional approach with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fire safety compliance.TPBN1_UKTJ
