LHH is looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant for a law firm in Minneapolis. Our client, a respected law firm in Minneapolis, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join its Real Estate practice group. This position provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals handling sophisticated real estate transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $91,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and proofread organizational and transactional documents.
- Create, update, and maintain transaction and closing checklists.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients, facilitating communication and document transmission.
- Assist with real estate transaction closings and related coordination.
- Prepare and manage closing books and post-closing documentation.
- Track signature pages, original documents, and other closing-related materials.
- Maintain critical deadlines and closing calendars.
- Organize and maintain electronic client files and records.
- Monitor attorney inboxes and assist with electronic filing and document management.
- Open new client matters and maintain matter records.
- Process client invoices, expense reimbursements, and billing-related tasks.
- Prepare document comparisons and revisions.
- Form business entities and obtain certificates through the Secretary of State and IRS.
- Support attorneys and paralegals with special projects and additional assignments as needed.
Required
- Strong interest in real estate law and transactions.
- Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant within a law firm, corporate legal department, or real estate environment.
- Familiarity with legal document preparation and transaction support.
- Experience with document management and timekeeping software, including iManage, Intapp, and iTimekeep.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional demeanor and excellent client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent proofreading and grammar skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Salary Range: $48,000 - $91,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
