Position Title & Description:
The Medical Director will collaborate with various teams and senior leadership to provide innovative, high-quality care to high-need, high-risk patients in their homes and communities. This role requires a leader with a strong history of innovation, measurable achievements, and outstanding clinical skills. The selected candidate will play an active role in both the marketplace and patient care, directly delivering services and overseeing our Interdisciplinary Care Team. The ideal applicant should be adaptable and ready to thrive in a rapidly growing, dynamic environment where service offerings and protocols are subject to change. This position is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in the relevant state. Approximately 20% of the role will involve direct patient interaction.
Essential Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the relevant state(s)
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty
- At least three years of experience in a direct patient care setting
- Preferred experience in medical leadership and education
- Knowledge of population-based medicine and quality improvement strategies
- Experience managing patients with complex needs, including behavioral health and substance use disorders
- Strong understanding of healthcare management, including the U.S. payer and provider landscape
- Ability to engage positively with clinicians, senior management, patients, families, and various healthcare professionals
- A strong sense of urgency and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on collaboration
- Familiarity with EMR systems (experience with Athena is a plus)
