Licensed Arkansas Electricians

Licensed Electricians – Fort Smith, AR Air Force Base

We are seeking approximately 30 licensed electricians for an electrical project at the Fort Smith, AR Air Force Base. We are ideally looking for 7–8 Journeyman Electricians, with the remaining positions filled by qualified Apprentice Electricians or Helpers. Candidates will perform a variety of electrical installation and construction work throughout the base.

Duration: Approximately 6–8 weeks
Pay: $45/hour
Per Diem: $125/day
Schedule: 6/10s for the first 4 weeks, then expected to transition to 5/10s based on project needs

Duties & Responsibilities

  Install and maintain electrical systems throughout the Air Force Base.

\n
• \n

  Perform conduit bending and installation, wire pulling, lighting, panel work, and terminating devices.

\n
• \n

  Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.

\n
• \n

  Follow all applicable electrical codes and safety requirements.

\n
• \n

  Work alongside Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and other construction personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Experience & Requirements

\n
• \n

  Arkansas electrical license required for Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians.

\n
• \n

  Candidates with licenses from reciprocal states may qualify to obtain an Arkansas license. Reciprocity includes AK, CO, ID, IA, ME, MI, MO, NE, NH, NM, ND, OK, SD, TX, UT, WI, and WY.

  OSHA 10, lift, and fall protection certifications required.

\n
• \n

  Must provide a physical copy of your AR electrical license.

\n
• \n

  English-speaking candidates preferred; Spanish-speaking candidates may be considered with bilingual translation support available on site.

  Submit a bio/resume for review and approval before onboarding.

Base Access Requirements

• \n

  Must complete the required M77 form and background check covering the previous 7 years.

\n
• \n

  Felony convictions, violent crimes, and sexual offenses may prevent base access; misdemeanors may be acceptable depending on circumstances.

  Once approved, candidates will complete the badging process before beginning work.
