UNC Health Johnston is seeking a Per Diem GI Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join our team.

\nUNC Health Medical Group, in partnership with UNC Health Johnston, located in Smithfield, NC, is seeking a Per Diem GI Hospitalist physician to join their team.
\nThis position would be a part of the team at UNC REX Digestive Health. UNC Rex Digestive Health has been providing exceptional high-quality gastroenterology care to patients in the Raleigh/Eastern, NC area for more than 50 years. It is one of the most advanced gastroenterology practices in the area.
\nPosition Features:

Procedures Required: EGD, colonoscopy, push enteroscopy, Video capsule endoscopy reading, ERCP is preferred but not required

Procedure Volume: Average range of 8-12 per day
\n - \n
Structure: HOPD cases followed by inpatient cases. APPs will be rounding and staff with the physician
\n - \n
Schedule: Per Diem
\n - \n
No night call.

\n ? Meet the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

\n Professional Experience Requirements:
\n ? Prefer prior hospitalist experience.
\n Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
\n ? Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
REASONING ABILITY
\nHigh-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
\nNorth Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Gastroenterology
