Warehouse Manager
Job Description
The purpose of the Warehouse Operations Manager is to ensure that warehouse operations run
smoothly and efficiently.
This includes Receiving, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Inventory
Management.
Their purpose is also to set the example in all aspects, lead the team, ensure the
team has a positive, team-oriented mentality, and maintain a warehouse climate of productivity
and positivity.
Operations & Fulfillment
• Own daily fulfillment output against client SLAs across all active accounts; no SLA miss
leaves the building without a same-day written summary to the DOO with root cause and
corrective action.
• Manage inbound receiving, put-away, pick/pack, and outbound shipment workflows
end-to-end; ensure each stage has a designated SOP and that the lead is accountable
to you.
• Accuracy targets: order accuracy ≥ 99%; inventory location accuracy ≥ 98.5% at all
times - these are floors, not goals. This is achieved through
• Lead structured root cause analysis (5-Why or fishbone) on all chargebacks, mispicks,
and carrier failures within 48 hours of identification; submit findings and corrective
actions to DOO in writing.
• Maintain WMS data integrity for inventory: location accuracy, cycle count compliance,
and all inventory adjustments documented with reason code and timestamp.
• Track and maintain SOP’s. Enforce SOPs on every shift; when a gap exists between the
SOP and actual practice, document the deviation and escalate to DOO within 24 hours
with a recommended revision.
