Position: Travel OR Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: OR/Surgery
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Up to $1,657–$2,297 gross pay weekly; equivalent to $41.44–$57.43 per hour.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Supervise OR operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to regulations and hospital policies.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments; mentor and support staff development and performance.
- Assist with performance management and HR-related tasks.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and departmental readiness; coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions.
- Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
- Engage with patients and families to foster a positive patient experience.
- Provide direct patient care as necessary to uphold safe staffing and patient care standards.
Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Valid RN License in the state.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current.
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current.
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting.
- PALS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain current.
- Required previous supervisory experience.
- One to two years of supervisory experience in an acute care hospital Surgical OR setting is required.
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and must remain current.
