Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Generalist Physician to join our collaborative team located in the picturesque Lower Valley of New Hampshire. Overview
  • The Team:

    • 5 Generalist OB/GYN physicians

    • 6 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)

    • 3 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs)

  • Approximately 425 deliveries each year

  • Conducting around 385 gynecologic surgeries annually

  • A blend of outpatient, inpatient, and operating room services

  • Comprehensive practice encompassing high-risk prenatal and postpartum care, gynecological and well-woman visits, preventive care, family planning, and abortion services.

Gynecology
  • A busy gynecological surgery service with options for both in-office and operating room procedures. Minor surgery facilities are available.

  • Access to urogynecology specialty consultations in-office. Gynecologic oncology consultations are available through our system.

  • Trained first assistants are available for surgical cases, allowing collaboration with practice partners.

Obstetrics
  • Engages in a collaborative midwifery model for low-risk pregnancies, while also managing care for high-risk pregnancy patients.

  • Involvement in risk-based antenatal evaluations and treatments for obstetrical patients, collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine for optimal care.

  • Midwifery model: Midwives provide continuous support and care management during labor. An integrated volunteer doula program is available for additional labor support.

  • Comprehensive prenatal education is provided, with a dedicated nurse conducting new OB intakes and 28-week education sessions.

  • Handles complex operative and surgical deliveries, as well as managing obstetrical emergencies as they occur.

  • Provides care for patients during the postpartum period following surgical and operative deliveries in the hospital.

Call Schedule
  • Shared call responsibilities within the generalist OB/GYN group, including 24-hour shifts on weekdays, limited urgent visit clinics, and weekend call coverage.

  • First call for emergency room and gynecology cases, with midwives as the primary call for obstetrics.

Clinic Operations
  • A balanced clinic schedule that allows for documentation during work hours.

  • Utilization of AI scribe technology for efficient documentation.

  • Nursing triage is available during the day for patient inquiries and calls.

  • In-office behavioral health consultations are accessible.

Connection to Academic Center
  • Engagement in Department Grand Rounds, CME presentations, and educational lectures focused on quality improvement.

  • Involvement in the development, review, and refinement of policies and procedures within multidisciplinary teams.

Teaching Responsibilities
  • Supervision and education of Family Medicine Residents.

  • Oversight and teaching of medical students during their core OB/GYN rotation.

  • Participation in the education and supervision of midwifery, nurse practitioner, nursing, and other students.

Additional Opportunities
  • Involvement in departmental performance improvement initiatives.

  • Opportunities to engage in system-wide quality improvement efforts across the health system.

  • Participation in hospital and medical staff committees and activities.

Expectations
  • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all patient care provided.

  • Respond to work-related electronic communications (EHR InBasket and email) within three business days, maintaining a collegial and professional tone.

  • May oversee the activities of other team members within a collaborative model across the health system.

  • Consistently deliver excellent service to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues, reflecting our organization’s Standards of Performance and Just Culture Principles.
