Position: Travel ED Charge Nurse

Available Shifts: Day and Night

Compensation: Gross pay ranging from $1,491.84 to $2,067.48 per week, translating to an hourly rate of $41.44 to $57.43.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations in the Emergency Department and manage nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care while adhering to regulations.
• Handle staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
• Supervise, mentor, and facilitate staff development.
• Assist with performance evaluations and HR-related tasks.
• Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness; coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Address patient care issues and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

1. Valid RN License in the state.
2. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and must be maintained.
3. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and must be maintained.
4. At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, specifically in an Emergency Department.
5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA) upon hire and must be maintained.
6. Prior supervisory experience is required.

Our organization offers competitive pay, with an estimated compensation range of $41.44 to $57.43 for this role. This estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for other locations. The exact starting salary will be determined during the hiring process, taking into account various factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
