Employee Relations Specialist The Woodlands, TX (100% Onsite) LHH is partnering with a growing and highly respected energy client to identify a skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join their Human Resources team in The Woodlands, TX. This is a high-impact role supporting employee relations investigations across all company entities, with direct visibility to HR leadership.   • Location: 100% onsite - The Woodlands, TX
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Compensation:
    • Pay Rate: $43.26 - $48.07/hour
    • Salary Equivalent: $90,000 - $100,000
  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (Direct Hire also considered)

Position Overview The Employee Relations Specialist partners with leaders and employees to address workplace concerns, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a fair, consistent, and legally compliant work environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, timely, and well-documented employee relations investigations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders regarding workplace concerns
  • Maintain confidential and organized case documentation, including findings and summaries
  • Provide guidance on performance management, policy interpretation, and corrective actions
  • Partner with leadership to develop preventative and corrective action plans
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.)
  • Support employee engagement efforts such as surveys, exit interviews, and feedback programs
  • Assist in training and promoting a positive, professional workplace culture
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations investigations
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience managing investigations from intake through resolution, including documentation
  • Familiarity with anonymous hotline systems or investigation portals
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (Paycom preferred; similar systems accepted such as Workday, ADP, Paylocity, Paycor, Oracle)
  • Professional certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR) or legal background highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is not required

  • Writing assessment based on a real-world investigation scenario (completed onsite)
Additional Requirements
  • Background check and drug screen required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
Pay Details: $43.26 to $48.07 per hour
