Seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise IT systems in a global environment. This role focuses on on-premises and hybrid infrastructure, systems administration, automation, security, and operational excellence across multiple technology domains.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Partner with security and application teams to implement best practices, patching, remediation, and compliance initiatives.
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects and modernization efforts.
- Automate system administration and operational processes using scripting and automation tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; recommend improvements.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants.
- Ensure systems align with security, compliance, and secure design standards.
- Provide Tier III support and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of Windows systems administration experience in enterprise or global environments.
- Expertise with Active Directory, Entra ID, ADSI, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience supporting hybrid on-premises/cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management solutions (Okta, Duo, SAML, MFA).
- Experience administering SQL Server environments.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices, including Veeam.
- Strong PowerShell and/or automation scripting experience; Ansible preferred.
- Experience with endpoint management, configuration management, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and IT service management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
- VMware ESXi and virtualization expertise.
- Experience with Windows Failover Clustering, DFS, and DFSR.
- Exposure to GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and related DevOps tools.
- Mobile device management (MDM) experience.
- Understanding of Zero Trust security architecture.
