Job Title: Travel ED Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Emergency Services
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Gross pay ranging from $1,491 to $2,067 per week, which translates to an hourly rate of $41.44 to $57.43.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Oversee operations and nursing staff in the Emergency Department during assigned shifts.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the development of nursing staff.
- Assist with performance evaluations and HR-related tasks.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness.
- Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Address patient care concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
- Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
- Provide direct patient care as needed to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Must possess a current and valid RN license in the state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required upon hire and must remain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) required upon hire and must remain current.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, specifically in an Emergency Department setting, is required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA) required upon hire and must remain current.
- Previous supervisory experience is mandatory.
