Salary: £44,616 + Overtime + Company Van
Shift Pattern: Days (Monday-Friday) with an Early Finish on Fridays
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Plant Fitter to join a well-established engineering business that supports major infrastructure projects across the UK.
\nThis is a predominantly workshop and site-based mechanical role with occasional travel and overnight stays, offering excellent training, overtime opportunities, and long-term career development.
\n\nThe Role\n

As a Mechanical Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of specialist plant and engineering equipment. You'll work both at the company's main facility and occasionally at customer sites across the UK, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.
\nThe role is primarily mechanical (approximately 80% mechanical / 20% electrical) and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance and fault finding.

\nThe Ideal Candidate\n
\n
You'll be a mechanically biased engineer with experience maintaining heavy plant, rail equipment, industrial machinery or similar.
\nTo be considered, you should have:
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance \n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair experience \n
- Experience working on plant, heavy machinery, rail equipment or similar industrial environments \n
- A full UK driving licence \n
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally when required \n
Engineers with experience in the rail sector or those who have worked on specialist plant and heavy mechanical equipment will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
