There may be a requirement to support the wider materials team within the business from time to time.Your mission As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the following:Ensure that site sampling and laboratory testing is carried out to high standards of safety, quality and efficiencyEnsure that adequate and proper records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system and UKAS requirementsEnsure that sampling and testing is carried out to the appropriate British/European StandardsEnsure test equipment is checked, cleaned and maintained to an acceptable levelCommunicating regularly and effectively with internal/external clients/site engineering staff on testing requirementsWho are we looking for? In-situ testing in accordance with relevant standards.Materials/Aggregate sampling and testing in accordance with all relevant standardsConcrete sampling/testing in accordance with all relevant standardsMaintaining high standards of work and compliance with UKAS accreditation requirementsPrevious experience of working within a busy UKAS accredited laboratoryNVQ Level 2 or equivalent an advantageCSCS cardWhats in it for you?
