Job Description
LHH is seeking an experienced and highly independent Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a specialty chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance execution across mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, welding, planning, storeroom/MRO, contractor, and turnaround activities. The ideal candidate is an engineering-based leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, leverages data to drive decisions, and successfully leads teams through continuous improvement initiatives. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $125K-$155K

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance organization, including supervisors, planners, mechanics, E&I technicians, welders, storeroom personnel, and contractors.

· Drive a culture of safety, accountability, ownership, and operational excellence.

· Manage routine, preventive, corrective, emergency, outage, and startup maintenance activities.

· Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.

· Improve backlog management, PM compliance, and MRO inventory effectiveness.

· Oversee maintenance budgets, labor costs, contractors, inventory, and turnaround spending through data-driven financial analysis.

· Support planning and execution of plant turnarounds, shutdowns, and high-risk maintenance projects.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, PSM, GMP, environmental, quality, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety requirements.

· Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Mechanical Integrity, Procurement, Safety, Quality, and site leadership to achieve business objectives.

· Approximately 25 Direct and Indirect Reports

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

· 10+ years of maintenance experience within a PSM chemical manufacturing environment.

· 5+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams and contractors.

· Proven experience managing maintenance budgets, forecasts, labor, contractors, and MRO inventory.

· Strong turnaround/shutdown planning and execution experience.

· Ability to leverage AI tools and advanced data analysis to improve workplace effectiveness.

Technical Skills

· Maintenance planning and scheduling, PM optimization, backlog management, and KPI-driven performance.

· Knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment, including pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, piping, and instrumentation.

· Understanding of welding, metallurgy, and fabrication practices under ASME and API standards.

Additional Requirements

· High sense of urgency and ability to respond to emergency and non-routine operational events.

· Available for occasional after-hours support, turnarounds, and plant shutdowns.

· Ability to lift to 60 lbs.

· Comfortable working around hazardous chemicals and high-temperature operating environments.

Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $155,000.00 per year
