Our client is seeking a Carrier Representative to support transportation operations by coordinating shipments, working closely with carriers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently from pickup to delivery. This role is ideal for someone with logistics experience who can think critically, communicate effectively, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to secure transportation capacity and ensure timely service.
- Coordinate and monitor shipments, proactively addressing delays, route changes, and service issues.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to provide shipment updates and resolve transportation concerns.
- Analyze transportation challenges and identify practical solutions to keep freight moving efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records, shipment documentation, and transportation system data.
- Partner with operations and support teams to streamline processes and improve overall service performance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational success
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Contract assignment expected to last at least 6 months with potential for extension
