Position Overview
The Assistant Controller will work closely with senior leadership to support financial reporting, month-end close, compliance initiatives, budgeting, and accounting operations. Position Overview
The Assistant Controller will work closely with senior leadership to support financial reporting, month-end close, compliance initiatives, budgeting, and accounting operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial information while helping improve processes and drive efficiencies across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
- Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate reporting of revenue, costs, and inventory.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Help maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Participate in ERP system enhancements and data accuracy initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience in manufacturing, oilfield services, industrial equipment, or similar industries is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
