LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing Oklahoma City-area organization to identify an Assistant Controller to join its accounting and finance team. Position Overview

The Assistant Controller will work closely with senior leadership to support financial reporting, month-end close, compliance initiatives, budgeting, and accounting operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial information while helping improve processes and drive efficiencies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate reporting of revenue, costs, and inventory.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Help maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Participate in ERP system enhancements and data accuracy initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience in manufacturing, oilfield services, industrial equipment, or similar industries is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
