LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in the Columbus area to identify a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to support a growing organization by managing a variety of accounting, payroll, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
This role features a four-day workweek (Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM) and a casual office culture. The Bookkeeper will play an important role in supporting daily operations while helping to alleviate workload from the accounting team during a period of growth and process improvement.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and vendor payments
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, customer accounts, vendor accounts, and general ledger balances
- Process biweekly payroll for approximately 40 employees and maintain payroll-related records and documentation
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, account analysis, and audit preparation activities
- Assist with special projects, process improvements, and system implementation initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- At least 3 years of previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role
- Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general bookkeeping functions
- Prior payroll processing experience is helpful
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
