LHH is seeking a Quality Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in the Greater Indianapolis area. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on quality professional who enjoys leading from the floor, developing inspection talent, and keeping production moving without sacrificing quality standards. In this role, you will oversee daily inspection priorities, strengthen quality processes, support containment and corrective actions, and play a visible leadership role across production, quality, and operations. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $70,000-80,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match. ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coach, and support quality inspectors across daily floor operations.
  • Prioritize inspection activities based on production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Support hands-on inspection coverage when staffing or production needs require assistance.
  • Oversee containment, segregation, and documentation of non-conforming materials.
  • Partner with technical teams to determine disposition and corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, and system updates accurately.
  • Support root cause analysis for internal, supplier, and customer quality concerns.
  • Train inspectors on procedures, standards, inspections, and operator communication.
  • Monitor inspection equipment compliance, calibration schedules, and measurement readiness.
  • Conduct audits of packaging, labeling, traceability, and outgoing shipments.
  • Assist with incoming material inspections using established plans and standards.
  • Create and update work instructions, visual aids, and inspection procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Support new product launches, sample builds, and production readiness activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement, defect reduction, and a zero-defect mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of technical quality experience within the manufacturing industry is required within a strong preference toward candidates from automotive or closely related industries
  • Must have 3+ years of experience upholding ISO quality standards and leading inspections and auditing efforts within a manufacturing facility
  • Must have the ability to lead, train, and develop floor-based quality technicians and inspectors
  • Must have experience with non-conformance management, containment, and corrective action processes
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with inspection tools, gauges, calibration, and measurement systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy is required
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive
