Extrusion Machine Operator I 2nd Shift
Job Description
Location: Sarasota, FL
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Full-Time
The Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion machinery to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality plastic and carbon products. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate extrusion machinery according to production specifications.
Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain product quality.
Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate maintenance concerns when necessary.
Load raw materials and monitor material flow throughout the production process.
Complete production reports and quality documentation accurately.
Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet operational goals.
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required. Extrusion experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and follow production instructions and specifications.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
