Job Description
Milton Keynes office-based. Full office presence during probation; flexible working arrangements after probation depending on role and seniority.
\nA specialist staging and temporary structures business is making a deliberate investment in its next generation of technical leadership. The Event Operations & Team Lead role is the centrepiece of that plan, with a defined pathway into the senior leadership team within 18 to 24 months.
\n• Structured mentoring from the Technical and Design Directors ahead of your succession.
\n• A named progression pathway to Director level within 18 to 24 months.
\n• Exposure to high-profile festivals, sporting events and brand activations.
\n• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and flexible working post-probation.
\nThe Company
\nThis business designs, manufactures and delivers staging and temporary structures for live events across the UK and internationally, trusted by blue-chip clients across festival, sport, entertainment and corporate sectors. Four decades of industry heritage means the technical capability and project scale here sit well above most staging suppliers. The team is tight-knit and collaborative, and you will be joining people who tend to build long careers here.
\nThe Role
\nThe Event Operations and Team Lead role is a succession-planning appointment, created to expand design capacity and build the next layer of senior technical leadership.
\n• Work alongside the Technical and Design Directors from concept through delivery.
\n• Support design, procurement and operational delivery across live events projects.
\n• Contribute to resource planning, commercial decisions and solutions development.
\n• Help lead and develop operational and technical teams in a build environment.
\n• Build knowledge of relevant standards, manufacturing and supply chain processes.
\nThe Candidate
\nThe right person for the Event Operations and Team Lead role is an experienced operational or technical lead with genuine ambition and the foundations to step up. You are not at the ceiling of your career, you are ready to reach it.
\nYou will have experience managing teams within event production, staging, temporary structures, construction or manufacturing, with commercial awareness and solutions-focused thinking already in your toolkit. Business operations and resource planning will be familiar ground. Knowledge of temporary demountable structures or relevant BS, EN and Eurocode standards is beneficial but not essential, as is a background with international supply chain partners. Full right to work in the UK is required.
\nIn return, the Event Operations and Team Lead receives a senior-level package matched to the trajectory of the role, a structured relationship with established Directors, and a clear path to the senior leadership team. The business has committed to this hire and interviews are being arranged now. Apply today.
