Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic / Master Technician to join our client's modern dealership in Birmingham, West Midlands. • Basic salary up to £44,696, dependent on experience

Duties of the Diagnostic / Master Technician:\n

\n
• Conduct advanced diagnostics on complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
\n
• Repair, service, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards
\n
• Accurately complete warranty and diagnostic repairs
\n
• Work on hybrid and electric vehicles, where qualified
\n
• Utilise state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to identify intermittent and complex faults
\n
• Support and mentor junior technicians within the workshop
\n
• Ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction
\n

Requirements of the Diagnostic / Master Technician:\n

\n
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
\n
• Proven experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician within a franchised or professional workshop environment
\n
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
\n
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
\n
• Excellent fault-finding ability with a methodical approach
\n
• Full UK driving licence
\n
• Positive attitude with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
\n
