Your new companyI am currently working with a well-established supplier of machinery and systems, supporting customers across a variety of industries throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Sales Administrator.

This is a varied and rewarding position that combines sales support, customer service, and administration responsibilities. You will play a vital role in supporting the sales function, ensuring customer enquiries are handled professionally, orders are processed efficiently, and internal processes run smoothly.The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Support

  • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.
  • \n
  • Prepare and issue accurate sales quotations and proposals.
  • \n
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  • \n
  • Liaise with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and product information.
  • \n
  • Follow-up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
  • \n
  • Provide administrative support to external sales representatives.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records using CRM and Sage systems.
  • \n
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and associated documentation.
  • \n
  • Manage filing systems and ensure records are up-to-date.
  • \n
  • Coordinate communication between sales, purchasing, operations, and finance departments.
  • \n
  • Support general office administration and assist with ad hoc projects as required.
  • \n

Customer Service

  • Deliver a professional, efficient, and customer-focused service at all times.
  • \n
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • \n
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Handle customer information confidentially and in accordance with company procedures.
  • \n

What you'll need to succeedYou will be a self-starter who enjoys working as part of a small team and, ideally, have experience in a sales administration-based role previously. You will pride yourself on providing a first-class service at all times and will go the extra mile to ensure the customers' needs are met.

What you'll get in return

You will get the opportunity to work for a very successful business underpinned by an extremely experienced team. Based in the office 5 days a week, you will work from 9AM-5 PM Monday-Friday with an earlier finish on Friday. You will be paid up to £30k p.a (the salary may increase up to £32 for an exceptional/experienced candidate). Free parking on site and easily accessible off the motorway.
