Purchase Ledger Clerk

I'm currently working alongside a thriving and well-established manufacturing business based in the Doncaster area that is looking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its growing finance team. This role would suit someone with previous purchase ledger experience who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high-volume workload while building strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues alike. Most importantly, we're looking to find someone who will become a valued member of this friendly and supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
\n
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
\n
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
\n
• Preparing payment runs
\n
• Liaising with suppliers to deal with invoice and payment queries
\n
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
\n
• Supporting month-end processes
\n
• Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
\n

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable role
\n
• Experience working within a manufacturing or fast-paced environment would be advantageous
\n
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
\n
• The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
\n
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
\n
• A positive attitude and the ability to integrate into a friendly, collaborative team
\n
