Management Accountant
Job Description
My Client is looking for a talented Management Accountant to join a growing finance team within a fast-paced, international business. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts while supporting financial reporting across multiple entities.
\nThis is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in month-end reporting, financial analysis and process improvement. Working closely with senior finance leaders, you'll help improve reporting standards, strengthen financial controls and provide valuable commercial insight to support business decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Accounts & Month-End\n- \n
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements. \n
- Produce supporting commentary and variance analysis. \n
- Manage the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Process foreign currency transactions and revaluations across multiple entities. \n
- Produce ad hoc financial reports for senior management. \n
- Maintain and improve month-end reporting processes and reporting packs. \n
- \n
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. \n
- Prepare VAT returns and support statutory reporting requirements. \n
- Analyse and account for sales from multiple revenue streams and online platforms. \n
- Support intercompany accounting and multi-currency consolidations. \n
- Assist with external audit processes and maintain strong financial controls. \n
- \n
- Support landed cost analysis, including freight, duties and tariffs. \n
- Provide margin analysis by product, customer and sales channel. \n
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight and support cost control initiatives. \n

- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. \n
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve financial processes. \n
- Drive improvements in the quality and usefulness of management information across the business. \n
- \n
- Support and mentor junior finance team members. \n
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across the wider business. \n
- Provide support across the finance function during busy periods. \n
You'll be a proactive and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in producing accurate, meaningful financial information.
Essential Skills & Experience\n- \n
- Part-qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA). \n
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts from start to finish. \n
- Strong month-end experience including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations. \n
- Good understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting. \n
- Experience working with multiple revenue streams within an e-commerce environment. \n
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. \n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. \n
- Able to manage your own workload in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Previous experience working within an SME or multi-entity business. \n

- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Xero. \n
- Experience with Amazon and TikTok sales platforms. \n
- Experience within an import-led or stock-holding business. \n
- Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience. \n
- VAT and statutory reporting experience. \n
- Experience working with royalty accounting . \n
