Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant looking for more than a traditional reporting role?

\n

Our client is a fast-growing, multi-brand consumer business with a strong e-commerce presence and an exciting transformation programme underway. They are investing heavily in automation, business intelligence and AI, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys improving processes, driving efficiencies and partnering with the wider business.

\n

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the management accounts for a key business division while playing an active role in finance transformation projects that will shape the future of the finance function.

The Role\n

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts
  • \n
  • Producing variance analysis and meaningful commentary against budgets and forecasts
  • \n
  • Owning product and margin reporting to support commercial decision-making
  • \n
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
  • \n
  • Supporting statutory accounts preparation, audit and VAT compliance
  • \n
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes using Excel, Power Query, Power BI and AI tools
  • \n
  • Business partnering with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
  • \n
  • Delivering ad hoc commercial analysis for senior management
  • \n
About You\n

We're looking for someone who is:

\n
    \n
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or a finalist)
  • \n
  • Experienced in preparing monthly management accounts
  • \n
  • Confident producing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
  • \n
  • Advanced in Excel, with experience using Power Query or a strong desire to develop these skills
  • \n
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience would be advantageous)
  • \n
  • Naturally curious, commercially aware and motivated to improve processes
  • \n
  • Enthusiastic about technology, automation and the practical use of AI within finance
  • \n
\n

Experience within retail, e-commerce or a multi-entity environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
