Opportunity to take on a senior technical position within the engineering team Varied role combining field service, technical support and mentoring duties Chance to influence engineering standards and service performance High level of autonomy with support from experienced management Long-term career prospects within a growing specialist business Role Overview Provide technical support to field engineers, assisting with complex fault diagnosis and troubleshooting Install, commission, service and repair recycling and waste machinery at customer sites Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults efficiently and safely Carry out welding and fabrication repairs where required Support continuous improvement initiatives, technical documentation and engineering best practices What We're Looking For Minimum five years' experience working on recycling, waste or similar industrial machinery Strong electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fault-finding capabilities Welding experience is essential, with a practical hands-on approach Previous experience supporting, mentoring or coaching engineers is advantageous Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide Desirable Experience Fabrication experience Forklift Truck Licence Experience with balers, compactors or related equipment Development of engineering procedures or technical documentation Continuous improvement or process development experience Work Location Home-based field service position Covering customer sites nationwide Occasional travel to company facilities for meetings and training Mixture of installations, planned maintenance and breakdown work Regular travel as part of day-to-day responsibilitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to step into a senior technical role within a specialist engineering business, combining hands-on engineering responsibilities with technical leadership and support across a nationwide customer base.
