A growing construction and development group is hiring a Document Controller / Information Manager to support multiple live façade remediation, recladding and single-family housing projects. With thousands of drawings, revisions, technical submissions and Building Safety records now moving through Aconex and SharePoint, the business needs a dedicated professional to bring structure, compliance and control to its information management.

This role will operate across Multi-Family and Single-Family Housing, providing a shared service that ensures teams work from the correct information, approvals flow efficiently, and Building Safety Act requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage CDE systems - Maintain Aconex/SharePoint as the single source of truth for all project information
  • \n
  • Control document revisions - Ensure teams never work from superseded drawings or specifications
  • \n
  • Maintain registers - Keep accurate registers for drawings, technical submissions, approvals and Building Safety documentation
  • \n
  • Support Golden Thread compliance - Manage legally required information under the Building Safety Act
  • \n
  • Coordinate approvals - Track consultant and subcontractor submissions, ensuring timely review and sign-off
  • \n
  • Improve workflows - Implement structured processes for information release, RFI management and change control
  • \n
  • Support project teams - Free up PMs and Design Managers by handling document administration
  • \n
  • Audit and reporting - Provide visibility of outstanding actions, risks and compliance gaps
  • \n

What We're Looking For:

\n
    \n
  • Experience as a Document Controller or Information Manager in construction
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of CDE platforms (Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint or similar)
  • \n
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • \n
  • Ability to manage high volumes of drawings, revisions and submissions
  • \n
  • Understanding of Building Safety Act / Golden Thread principles (advantageous)
  • \n
  • Confident communicator able to work across multiple project teams
  • \n
