A great opportunity for an experienced Family Law Partner to head up a highly regarded family law team in Glasgow, advising parents, professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients on the full range of Scottish family law matters.

This suits a Family Lawyer who wants to lead and grow a practice, brings a mix of negotiation and litigation experience and is looking for a firm known for complex, high-value work and a genuinely client-focused approach.

The role

As Head of Family Law in Glasgow, you'll lead the team's strategic direction while managing your own caseload of complex family law matters. Day to day, this includes:

• Advising clients on divorce, separation and financial settlements
\n
• Handling child arrangements, parental rights and relocation disputes
\n
• Advising on cohabitation claims, pre and post-nuptial agreements and civil partnership dissolution
\n
• Overseeing complex, high-value financial and business asset disputes
\n
• Resolving matters through negotiation and mediation, with strong court representation where required
\n
• Leading, mentoring and developing the wider family law team
\n
• Building and maintaining relationships with professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients
\n

About you

This role would suit a Family Law Partner who:

• Has extensive experience across Scottish family law, including complex financial and child law matters
\n
• Has a track record of leading or mentoring a team
\n
• Communicates clearly, providing practical advice without unnecessary jargon
\n
• Is skilled in both negotiated settlements and court litigation
\n
• Takes a discreet, client-focused approach with professionals and high net-worth individuals
\n
• Has an interest in developing and growing a department's client base and reputation
\n
