HSE Manager

Tarleton, PR4 | Monday-Friday | Up to £55,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in Tarleton.

This is a key role responsible for driving a strong health and safety culture, ensuring legal compliance and supporting continuous improvement across health, safety, environmental and sustainability practices.

• Lead and manage the HSE improvement plan.
\n
• Conduct and review risk assessments, including COSHH, PUWER, fire and manual handling.
\n
• Carry out regular HSE audits and workplace inspections.
\n
• Lead accident, near-miss and incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
\n
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks.
\n
• Manage employee, contractor and agency worker inductions.
\n
• Oversee contractor approval, RAMS and permit-to-work processes.
\n
• Maintain HSE records, reporting and compliance documentation.
\n
• Manage PPE requirements and relevant HSE training.
\n
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives and compliance.
\n
• Lead and develop the Health & Safety Advisor.
\n

\n
• 2+ years' H&S experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
\n
• NEBOSH National General Certificate - Working towards a Level 6 Diploma.
\n
• Minimum Affiliate IOSH, working towards CertIOSH.
\n
• Experience with a range of workplace risk assessments.
\n
• Strong HSE training and communication skills.
\n
• Environmental and sustainability experience
\n
• ISO and/or 45001 experience
\n
• Previous staff management experience.
\n
