Job Description

I'm delighted to be supporting a growing group business in Birmingham with the recruitment of a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a broad role with real ownership and influence.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing day-to-day finance operations while driving improvements across controls, reporting and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \n

    Full ownership of the balance sheet and management accounts across multiple entities

    • \n
  • \n

    Integrating acquired companies into finance processes and reporting structures

    • \n
  • \n

    Sign-off responsibility for VAT returns, bank reconciliations, payroll and inter-company reconciliations

    • \n
  • \n

    Ownership of the budgets, Day 1 forecasts, cashflow, treasury and banking arrangements

    • \n
  • \n

    FX management and scheduled tax payments, acting as liaison with HMRC

    • \n
  • \n

    Stock reporting and interaction with commercial teams to support trading decisions

    • \n
  • \n

    Oversight of property matters including lease and utility contract renewals

    • \n
  • \n

    Maintaining a strong controls environment and driving process improvements

    • \n
  • \n

    Developing and managing the finance team, ensuring continuous growth and performance

    • \n

About You:

  • \n

    A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualified experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role

    • \n
  • \n

    Strong technical skills across management accounts, controls, tax and treasury

    • \n
  • \n

    Comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-entity environment with acquisitions and integrations

    • \n
  • \n

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to business partner across commercial and operational teams

    • \n
  • \n

    Proven experience managing and developing a team

    • \n
