Child Care Solicitor
\nReading, Berkshire | £50,000–£75,000 DOE | Hybrid Working

\nOur client is a long-established and highly regarded law firm with over 50 years of success advising individuals and businesses across Berkshire and the Thames Valley. Due to continued growth and succession planning, the firm is looking to recruit a Child Care Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its busy and well-established Public Law Children team in Reading.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team with a strong reputation in care proceedings, public law children work and Legal Aid, offering high-quality work, a collaborative culture and a clear pathway for career progression.
\nThe Role
\nYou will manage your own caseload of public law children matters, representing parents and other parties in a broad range of legally aided cases, including:

- Care proceedings \n
- Public Law Outline (PLO) matters \n
- Adoption proceedings \n
- Special Guardianship Orders \n
- Child protection matters \n
- Child abduction cases \n
- Advocacy where appropriate \n
- Working closely with social services, guardians and other professionals \n
About You
\nYou will be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in Child Care / Public Law Children matters and be passionate about delivering exceptional client care.
\n\nIdeally you will have:
\n- \n
- 2–8 years' PQE (applications from experienced candidates outside this range are also encouraged) \n
- Experience handling legally aided child care matters \n
- Legal Aid Supervisor status (desirable) \n
- Children Panel Membership (desirable but not essential) \n
- Strong advocacy and client care skills \n
- The ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision \n
