Job Description
Machine Minders sought to join an award-winning, £multimillion turnover food manufacturing company based in Bilston. They are a privately owned company who supply numerous sectors including foodservice, retail, wholesale and catering, both in the UK and abroad. These are permanent, full-time positions with morning shifts and evening shifts available.There are 3 x Machine Minder roles available on each shift from Level 1 to Level 3, with the hourly rate reflecting the level of the role (see below).Mornings: 5.15am/5.20am-2.45pm/2.50pm Monday to FridayEvenings: 2pm-10.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm SaturdayThe Role:As a Machine Minder you will undertake machine interventions and first line trouble shooting to ensure the machinery runs to its optimum. Your duties will include:\n

- Ensure that the production line is operating smoothly and correctly, and any issues are reported \n
- Perform start-up and close down check procedures \n
- Complete routine maintenance of specific line equipment \n
- Analyse, interpret and report live data for performance evaluation \n
- Deliver the department daily plan \n
- Maintain, monitor and achieve operational targets \n
- Monitor and improve product quality \n
- Complete line quality checks (CLS) \n
- Perform production process checks in the department \n
- Continuously identify and implement workplace improvements \n
- Maintain and promote measures that support waste minimisation and sustainability in operations \n
- Support internal and external audits \n
- Support GMP in the department \n
- To ensure that photographic standards are adhered to and that customer specifications are followed. \n
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of production. \n
- To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues, Supervisors and Management staff \n
- Keep training records up to date. \n
- \n
- Experience as a Machine Minder or similar machine maintenance role within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment \n
- Experience in performing start-up and close-down checks \n
- Routine maintenance experience \n
- Background in engineering \n
- Vocational engineering qualification e.g. NVQ, BTEC, HNC etc would be highly beneficial \n
- Happy to work either morning shifts, or afternoon shifts including Saturday days \n
- Strong communicator with ability to work effectively with colleagues \n

- £13.01 (Level 1) - £13.99 (Level 3) per hour base rate \n
- £13.72 (Level 1 - £14.74 (Level 3) per hour evening rate (6pm onwards) \n
- £15.10 (Level 1) - £16.24 (Level 3) per hour Saturday rate \n
- £16.26 (Level 1) - £17.49 (Level 3) per hour overtime rate \n
- AM shift - Monday to Friday 5.15am/5.20am to 2.45pm/2.50pm \n
- PM Shift - Tuesday to Friday 2pm to 10.30pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm \n
