The Opportunity

Winsearch are working in partnership with a well-established aerospace manufacturing business to recruit experienced Airframe / Aerospace Fitters to support ongoing growth and programme demand.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team operating within a precision, quality-driven environment, where you will be working on complex structural assemblies to aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Carry out airframe and structural assembly activities in line with engineering drawings and specifications
\n
• Perform drilling, countersinking and riveting to aerospace standards
\n
• Use sealants and carry out assembly processes in accordance with work instructions
\n
• Install helicoils, bearings, bushes and associated components
\n
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and within required tolerances
\n
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all HSE and 5S standards
\n
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to achieve delivery targets
\n

Requirements

Previous experience within an aerospace or airframe assembly environment

Strong understanding of aerospace drawings and specifications

Proven hands-on experience with:

• Drilling and countersinking
\n
• Riveting
\n
• Use of sealants
\n
• Installation of helicoils, bearings and bushes
\n
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to right-first-time workmanship
\n

Selection Process

Successful candidates will be required to complete a trade test as part of the second-stage interview, demonstrating their ability to carry out assembly processes to aerospace quality standards.
