Cash Reconciliation Associate Location: South Warrington (Hybrid working available following successful completion of training) Salary: £25,000 Contract: 6-Month Temporary Contract with Potential to Become Permanent A large, successful and well-established business based near South Warrington is seeking a Cash Reconciliation Associate to join its finance team on an initial 6-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong reconciliation and cash handling experience to join a busy and supportive team, with the potential for the role to become permanent. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate reconciliation of daily sales, cash banking, and electronic transactions across a multi-site operation. This position would suit a highly organised individual who enjoys investigating discrepancies, problem solving, and delivering a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Record and reconcile all branch cash and electronic banking transactions accurately and within agreed SLAs. Reconcile daily sales and spend data against banking activity, ensuring 100% cash banking reconciliation. Review, investigate and resolve final till results and discrepancies. Identify and investigate cash differences, escalating and reporting suspected fraudulent activity where appropriate. Analyse branch data to identify irregularities and resolve issues or escalate system-related concerns to the appropriate internal teams. Provide support and guidance to branch colleagues on cash handling procedures, till balancing, cash declarations and banking processes. Oversee and reconcile G4S cash collections and drop banking activity, resolving any associated queries. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit purposes. Assist with internal and external audits as required. Undertake additional duties to support the wider finance function. About You Previous experience in cash reconciliation, banking, finance administration, accounts receivable, retail finance or a similar finance role (desirable) Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Experience investigating and resolving financial discrepancies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business. Good Microsoft Excel skills and experience using finance systems. Able to prioritise workload effectively and work to deadlines. What's on Offer? Salary of £25,000.
