Parts Assistant / Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Parts Assistant / Driver to join our client’s busy team based in Sparkford. This role is suited to an experienced motor trade professional with strong driving capabilities and excellent customer service skills. • Monday to Friday working hours; 8AM - 5PM or 9AM - 6PM

The duties of the Parts Assistant / Driver role involve:\n

• Safely operating company vehicles for local deliveries and collections, ensuring punctual and reliable service
\n
• Assisting customers in-store by providing product information and supporting sales efforts
\n
• Loading and unloading goods, with adherence to safety protocols, including manual handling as required
\n
• Maintaining accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records
\n
• Communicating effectively with team members regarding schedules, customer requirements, and operational issues
\n
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards
\n
• Supporting warehouse duties such as stock organisation and inventory management
\n
• Providing exceptional face-to-face and telephone customer service
\n

Requirements for the Parts Assistant / Driver role include:\n

• Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving record
\n
• Competence in operating commercial vehicles and manual handling tasks
\n
• Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimise deliveries
\n
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Attention to detail when recording inventory and delivery information
\n
• Experience in parts sales, logistics, or warehouse operations is advantageous
\n
• Part mechanical knowledge is preferred but not essential
\n
• Excellent communication skills to engage professionally with customers and colleagues
