About the Role We are recruiting for a skilled Electrician to join a busy commercial site in Newcastle City Centre, working on the installation phase of a new‑build office development. This is a long‑term contract with consistent hours and regular overtime available. You’ll be working as part of an established electrical team, carrying out a range of installation tasks including containment, wiring, lighting, and associated commercial fit‑out duties. The site is well‑organised, safety‑focused, and offers ongoing work for reliable tradespeople. Key Details * Position: Electrician (IPAF required) * Location: Newcastle City Centre * Project Type: Commercial – New‑Build Offices * Start Date: ASAP start available * Hours: Up to 45 hours per week * Pay Rate: £26.500 per hour * Overtime: 5 hours per week available at £37.10 * Duration: Ongoing - approx 6 months + What You’ll Be Doing * Installing commercial containment systems * First and second fix electrical work * Working at height using IPAF equipment * Supporting the wider electrical team with site progress * Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards What You Need * Valid JIB AND IPAF * Proven experience on commercial or new‑build projects * Strong work ethic and reliability * Ability to work overtime as required Why This Role?
