An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Disputes Associate to join one of the UK's leading disputes practices in Leeds.

This is a chance to work as part of a highly regarded national team acting for major corporates, public sector bodies and high-net-worth individuals across a broad range of complex and high-value commercial disputes.

The team is recognised for handling market-leading work and regularly acts against Magic Circle, US and leading City firms.

The Role

You will advise on a wide range of commercial disputes, working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on matters including:

• Contractual disputes
\n
• Shareholder and partnership disputes
\n
• Professional negligence claims
\n
• Corporate and business disputes
\n
• Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiation
\n
• High Court and other formal proceedings
\n

The role offers exposure to high-quality national and international work across sectors including retail, transport, technology, energy, financial services, healthcare and manufacturing.

Alongside excellent technical work, you will be encouraged to develop client relationships, build your professional profile and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
\n
• Approximately 2-5 years' PQE
\n
• Experience handling commercial disputes within a recognised disputes practice
\n
• Strong technical and drafting skills
\n
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
\n
• Ambitious and keen to progress within a leading disputes team
\n
